I have been a volunteer with Purple House Cancer Support for over a year.  I decided to volunteer in order to gain important experience in the area I’m studying in.

I am a student with the Royal College of Surgeons and the Irish Hospice Foundation studying Children and Loss.  As Purple House Cancer Support provides a significant amount of support for children, I felt this would be a great team to be part of.

My responsibilities vary between reception, this involves phone calls with clients and the Drop-In Centre, were clients come for support.

I have gained valuable experience from working in Purple House and witnessing the vast amount of support provided catering to both adults and children.

If you would like to volunteer at Purple House, please contact our volunteer coordinator Carmel Robinson at Purple House Cancer Support, Aubrey Court, Parnell Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow.
