The Bray Cancer Support Centre is located at 36B Main Street, Bray.

The Centre is accessible to people with mobility impairments thanks to an electronic stair lift, which was kindly donated to the centre by the family and friends of Angela Kennedy.

Our facilities include a lending library (books, tapes and dvds), a kitchen, a relaxtion room and a therapy room.

The Drop-In Centre is open for drop-in's Monday to Friday from 9.00am until 1pm, and by appointment outside of these hours. Feel free to call in for a chat, to request information, book an appointment or even just to avail of a sympathetic listening ear.

Telephone support is provided from the Drop-In Centre during office hours and a 24 hour answering machine referral service is available at all other times.

Weekly Timetable:


Daily
  • Drop-In Centre open at 10am for support and information.
  • Telephone support helpline.
  • Volunteer Transport Service by arrangement.
  • Home Support and Hospital Visiting by arrangement.
Monday
  • Counselling and Complimentary therapies by appointment.
  • Group therapy sessions at 12noon (booking required).
Tuesday
  • Counselling and Complimentary therapies by appointment.
  • Relaxation class at 11am. Starts 6th Sept. (booking required).
  • Men’s Group Project at 11am.
  • Swimming hour at the Merrill Leisure Centre and Spa in the Royal Hotel, Bray (booking required 24hr in advance).
Wednesday
  • Counselling and Complimentary therapies by appointment.
  • Benefits and entitlements advice 10-11am.
  • Yoga Class at 11am. Starts Wed. 14th Sept. for 10 weeks (booking required).
  • Pottery/Ceramics Class at 2pm. Course of 10 weeks starts Wed. 14th Sept. (booking necessary).
Thursday
  • Counselling and Complimentary therapies by appointment.
  • Group therapy sessions at 12noon (booking required).
  • Men’s Group Project at 11am (Festina Lente gardens).
Friday
  • Counselling and Complimentary therapies by appointment.
  • Benefits and entitlements advice 10-11am.
  • Go For Life Physical Activity Programme at 11am, followed by group discussion. Starts Fri 9th Sept for 10 weeks (booking necessary).
  • Swimming Hour at the Glenview Hotel and Leisure Centre at 1pm (booking required 24hr in advance).
