• Our Cancer Support Centre is at the hub of Purple House, and is based at 2 Duncairn Tce, Quinsborough Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow & is open from 10am to 1pm Mon-Fri and by appointment from 1pm until 4pm Mon-Thurs. Purple House has disabled access. Our trained Cancer Support Staff & volunteers are on hand to offer a sympathetic listening ear in total confidentiality.

 

  • We support people affected by Cancer Nationwide throughout Ireland through our Virtual Cancer Support Centre.  Purple House @ Home provides a Telephone Counselling & Psychotherapy Service, Telephone Support Service, Support Groups, programmes and Classes through Zoom from the comfort of your own home, hospital, or care setting.

  • Monthly Cancer Support Groups in The Lexicon Library, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin on the 1st Tuesday of each Month from 11am-12.30pm. Not currently running due to Covid19.

 

  • A confidential telephone support service (012866966) is available Monday to Friday, with a 24hour answer machine referral service for out of hours service.

Counselling Service

  • One-To-One Counselling, Psychotherapy & Bereavement Counselling is available by appointment and free of charge. Counselling is provided by our qualified psychotherapists and professional counsellors.
  • Telephone and Video Counselling is also available.

Practical Support Services

  • Personal development Classes in areas such as relaxation, art therapy, mindfulness, yoga, Moving Beyond Cancer & more.
  • Food Cloud Meals for Cancer patients Programme.

  • A Transport service by trained staff and volunteers is available to and from hospitals, hospices, clinics or Purple House
  • Nutritional Advice from our trained Nutritionist.
  • A comprehensive library on issues related to cancer and up-to-date information is provided on cancer diagnoses, treatment, welfare entitlements etc.
  • Schools Outreach Programme whereby we give talks to schools on Cancer Prevention and our work in the Community.
